Real-time social features shipped in React Native against Node.js backends: live chat and messaging over WebSockets, serving 50,000+ monthly active users. The interesting problems here are all in the gap between 'it works on my emulator' and 'it works on a bad connection in a different timezone' — reconnection, ordering, and what the UI does while it waits.
